Golf Courses

“Trees are a precious asset of many of our finest golf courses. We can train your in-house team in many of the skills required to maintain then.”

Trees and woodland form an essential part of the setting of many golf courses, and are integral to how individual holes play. We have the expertise to help golf courses maximise the potential of their trees in this respect.

We work with golf course owners, managers and architects to create trees and woodland management plans, and to implement the work recommendations. Works include thinning the woodland backdrops, redefining fairway edges by selective felling and replanting, and replacing key individual trees which determine how key holes are played.

We also provide training for the greenkeeping team. This includes how to identify hazardous trees, the maintenance and formative pruning of young trees and woodland thinning. In-house staff can then deliver work which previously had to be contracted out.
